As we mentioned in our last podcast, Evidence_0007 has a secret clickable dot. Our podcast mentioned that if you continued to click on the Parent Directory then you will see over 50 folders containing weather storms from all across the United States.

Today you will find a new folder has been added containing various Doppler images of Hurricane Gustav. Most of the images show wind speeds in addition to various satellite imagery. Some of the files are animated gifs. All of the images are dated yesterday, September 1, 2008.

Here are a few of the images:

You can find the rest HERE. (you’ll still have to click on the parent directory twice and scroll to the bottom before you will see the Gustav folder)

First of all it’s Evidence 0007, not 0008.

Second, the tornado videos from Evidence 0007 are actually hosted on a *real* weather website - WeatherMatrix.net. So, of course there is Gustav information there - but it doesn’t have anything to do with Fringe…

You’re right, Dennis. It is evidence 0007. Thanks for pointing out the typo.

However, I will disagree with you about Gustav having nothing to do with this ARG. As we discussed in our podcast episode 0105, WeatherMatrix.net is a REAL site that is unrelated to Fringe. However, the folders with all the Doppler imagery, including Gustav, are still located within the http://www.imaginetheimpossibilities.com server. Because of this we believe that the folks at Fringe are using data they acquired from the folks at Weather Matrix and are using it in the ARG in an effort to make it seem like whoever is behind the pattern is also attempting to control weather patterns.

It looks like the files are on ITP, but actually they are not. Take a look at the source code for http://imaginetheimpossibilities.com/77203/09179/80576/28621/62270/weather.html. The page is just an IFRAME pointing to the WeatherMatrix site:

    <iframe src=”http://www.weathermatrix.net/2008/0525/tornadovideo/” width=”100%” height=”800″ frameborder=”no”></iframe>

The tornado videos (and all the other weather stuff) are hosted on the WeatherMatrix site, not ITP.
