In this podcast we review the pilot episode of Fringe. We held a Fringe watch party for our friends and then sat down with our Zoom H2 digital recorder and gathered our initial thoughts and discoveries of the premiere. We discuss plot lines, character development, fringe sciences, the use of colors, plot devices and show pacing. We also mention this podcast from NPR that has a JJ Abrams interview about Fringe. Well, we’ve now seen the official version of the pilot episode of Fringe.  It was awesome!  The title sequence is completely different, much cleaner, much cooler.  There was a new fringe science added to the sequence, suspended animation.  And, briefly, a phrase that appears after the second appearance of dark matter.  It comes and goes so fast it is only in one frame.  The phrase is “Observers are here.”  Here is the screencap we caught: Here’s a better screen cap we pulled off of the HD stream on Fox.com. I checked www.massivedynamic.com today and it has been updated!  It is a very slick website.  I just looked at it so I don’t have much new information to report about it.  As I dig in, I will post more.  In the meantime checkout a screencap from the homepage.

In this episode we rejoin our conversation with chemist, Clint Wichert. This episode was originally recorded in tandem with episode 0106, but we decided it would be best to release it as a separate podcast. In this episode we review the first issue of the Fringe comic book. Click here or the picture above to get the Fringe comic.  TheFringePodcast Episode 0107

Our conversation with scientist Clint Wichert brought up the topic of robotic prosthetic arms that are able to be controlled by one’s mind. We found this video on MSNBC today and it couldn’t be a better fit to our conversation. This is a great example of fringe science entering into the main stream.

In this episode we welcome chemist, Clint Wichert. Clint has a bachelor’s degree in Bio-Chemistry and Molecular Biology and is currently working on his masters degree in Forensic Science. Clint discusses his knowledge of the various fringe sciences and current breakthroughs in various fields. This podcast was originally going to include a review of the Fringe comic Issue #1, but our conversation with Clint was very informative and went beyond our normal podcast length. We’ll be releasing our review of the comic (which was recorded directly after this conversation) in the next day or...

As we mentioned in our last podcast, Evidence_0007 has a secret clickable dot. Our podcast mentioned that if you continued to click on the Parent Directory then you will see over 50 folders containing weather storms from all across the United States. Today you will find a new folder has been added containing various Doppler images of Hurricane Gustav. Most of the images show wind speeds in addition to various satellite imagery. Some of the files are animated gifs. All of the images are dated yesterday, September 1, 2008. Here are a few of the images: You can find the rest HERE. (you’ll...
