In this episode Darrell and Courtney discuss Evidence_0007 from Imagine The Impossibilities. We also dig into our discoveries related to Parkersburg, IA, tornado videos, Doppler radar and weather patterns. We also discuss the new Ask. Imagine. Investigate. posters we placed on our site earlier in the week. This discussion takes us into topics such as negative refraction, reflection, Golden Angles, invisibility, the Doppler effect, nanotechnology, phyllotaxis, dark matter and echinocytosis. We also relist all of the Fringe Sciences mentioned in the Fringe intro and pilot episode. These sciences...
It looks like Fox has released two new sets of posters. The first set of 3 have a very washed out look. When viewed side-by-side-by-side, they reveal several geometric formations and angles. This got us researching angles, reflection and refraction. This research revealed some VERY interesting findings which will be discussed in our next podcast, Episode 0105. We’ve included the posters below. Similar geometric formations can also be found in this set of photos Fox just released. Thanks to fringetelevision.com for providing both sets of pictures.
ImagineTheImpossibilities.com Evidence_0007 image New evidence has been released on www.imaginetheimpossibilities.com, a set of Braille letters. When translated, it reads Parkersburg. It just so happens that there is a Parkersburg, IA that sits in the golden rectangle formed by the four coordinates given in evidence 1 for case 0091. At first blush there is nothing significant about this little 1.1 square mile town. If you wiki it though, you find that an EF5 tornado (the largest you get on the Enhanced Fujita Scale) destroyed half the town on May 25 2008. When looking at the Enhanced Fujita...
In this episode we introduce our new co-host, Jason. We discuss the newly revised Fox website, the updates to the Fringe ARG site www.imaginetheimpossibilities.com, Dolly the cloned sheep and the radio spots that were released in July. In this episode we discuss these websites: The Fringe ARG (Alternate Reality Game) links: http://1.61803398874989484820458683436563811.com www.imaginetheimpossibilities.com The missing Evidence_0005 page is found here The New Scientist article about Dolly the cloned sheep: New Scientist TheFringePodcast Episode 0104
Fox has updated their Fringe site and it looks great. They’ve done away with the braille and images that were once there. In their place is a nifty count down timer, new navigation, videos, pictures and other normal show links. One thing that certainly sticks out is the use of numbers as letters (i.e. Gall3ry). We’ve already seen numbers used in great detail on the ARG material they’ve released. No doubt this show will continue to draw inspiration from the field of mathematics. In fact, if you haven’t already checked out the video clip we found from the show Numb3rs,...
In this podcast we discuss some of our observations in the new publicity photos Fox released this week. Topics include the Golden Rectangle, Golden Ratio, and the Tempest. We discuss similarities with Lost and meteorology, and literature. We also chat about some interesting web sites we discovered this week and wrap the episode up by talking about the Fringe comic book series coming out on August 27th. Here is the Phi website we discussed in this episode: http://1.61803398874989484820458683436563811.com We also mentioned the site: www.goldennumber.net TheFringePodcast Episode 0103
Fox also released these three new promotional photos of Anna Torv. These photos have a unique and mysterious look to them. The first photo seems to be of Anna in the water tank that we’ve seen in some of the commercials. The second photo features a Photoshop enhanced hair style filled with mathematical equations. The final photo (and perhaps the most interesting) includes John Noble and Joshua Jackson. Notice that the cloud formation in the picture looks like a storm or tempest. Read our post below to find another connection with the tempest theme. Are these clues that point to some...
The folks over at Fox are really starting to crank up the advertising and promotion for Fringe. We are seeing much more TV advertising and tons of internet activity. Let’s get right to it! First off, let’s take a look at these new promotional photos released by Fox.[Show as slideshow] These are very interesting photos for several different reasons. For example, where is Mark Valley who plays the role of John Scott? Secondly, look at the background of each image. All of the ladies have the leaf in the background and all the men have...
